The Executive Chairman of Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo state, Hon. Taiwo Adegoroye has, today, hosted executives of the Tailoring Association of Nigeria (TAN), Odigbo chapter, at the Local Government Secretariat, Odigbo, Peak Newspaper Nigeria reports.
According to TAN, Odigbo Chapter’s Chairman, Olasimbo Elesere, the courtesy visit by the association’s executives, to the office of the Odigbo Local Government Chairman, Hon. Taiwo Adegoroye was to congratulate him, on his emergence as the Odigbo Local Government Chairman and to discuss crucial issues affecting TAN, Odigbo Chapter.
During the meeting with Hon. Adegoroye, the TAN, Odigbo Chapter’s Chairman, Elesere briefed the Chairman about the crisis that has long been rocking TAN, Odigbo Chapter, leading to a catastrophic division among members.
He further urged Hon. Adegoroye to carry TAN along in his administration, noting that “as artisans, we are an integral group in the formation of Odigbo Local Government. We not only contribute to the economic stability of the Local Government Area, but we also ensure that we transmit our knowledge, skill and experience to coming generations. I urge that you (Hon. Adegoroye) to carry us along in your administration, for a greater Odigbo Local Government.”
Speaking during the meeting, Hon. Adegoroye addressed the growing leadership crisis in TAN, Odigbo Chapter. He urged leaders and members of the association to maintain unity and cooperation, citing them as “the bedrock for progress and greater achievements.”
Moreso, he assured the association of the full support of his administration. He said “I am happy to receive you today. I appreciate this visit— it symbolizes goodwill and a practical step toward growth. I assure you that we would carry everyone, including artisan associations, which includes TAN, in our develop and growth campaign. No one will be left out.”
“It is however sacrosanct for me to state that unity and cooperation is the bedrock of progress, as such, these elements must not be found wanting in your midst. I urge you all to unite every member and stakeholders,” Adegoroye stated.
