The Odigbo Local Government Legislative Council has successfully screened and confirmed four supervisory nominees presented by the Executive Chairman of Odigbo Local Government Area, Honourable Taiwo Adegoroye, Peak Newspaper reports.
This was disclosed today by, Comrade Olatunji Babatunde, through the office of Odigbo Local Government Chairman, Honourable Taiwo Adegoroye.
The nominees—Mr. Gbenga Ikusika Raphel, Mr. Akinpelumi Bodunwa, Mrs. Ayomiposi Akinsete, and Mr. Tibetan Busayo—underwent the legislative screening in accordance with Section 32, Subsections 1, 2, and 3 of the Ondo State Local Government Law No. 5 of 2018.
The exercise, held earlier today at the Hallowed Chamber of the Legislative Assembly Complex, was presided over by the Leader of the House, Rt. Hon. Ademeso Adewole.
In his remarks after the session, Rt. Hon. Adewole commended the nominees for their composure.
He described the candidates’ diverse backgrounds as a valuable asset to the development of Odigbo Local Government.
Furthermore, he charged them to approach their new responsibilities with humility, commitment, and a strong sense of teamwork. “You have earned the confidence of the Executive Chairman and the people of Odigbo. It is now your duty to justify that confidence through diligent service,” he said.
The four nominees are expected to be officially inaugurated tomorrow (Friday) at 10:00 a.m. by the Executive Chairman, after which they will assume their respective portfolios.
