Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has disclosed that he played a major role in helping Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man, begin his cement production journey in Nigeria.
According to Obasanjo, his administration supported Dangote’s vision to make Nigeria self-sufficient in cement — a move that transformed the nation’s industrial landscape and created thousands of jobs.
“I believed in his dream and gave him all the support he needed. Today, it’s one of Nigeria’s biggest success stories,” Obasanjo said.
