The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) and independent marketers have adjusted the pump price of petrol across the country, setting a new rate of ₦955 per litre, up from ₦905.
According to market sources, the review is part of ongoing efforts to stabilize fuel distribution and ensure steady supply nationwide amid changing global energy dynamics.
The adjustment also reflects shifts in depot pricing, with the Dangote Refinery now loading at ₦845 per litre, up from ₦825 earlier. Despite the changes, experts say the move aims to promote a more balanced and efficient market system, reduce hoarding, and support longterm energy reforms.
In Abuja and other major cities, NNPC retail outlets and private stations like AA Rano, Mobil, and Ranoil have implemented the new rates, while monitoring continues to ensure availability and fair pricing
