Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), arrived at the Federal High Court in Abuja today ahead of the much-anticipated judgment in his terrorism case, Peak Newspaper reports.
The court session will be broadcast live on Channels TV, TVC, and AIT, marking one of the rare instances where a high-profile verdict is aired publicly.
Justice James Omotosho fixed today for judgment on November 7, after Kanu declined to open his defence, insisting he had exhausted all legal avenues available to him.
Kanu has consistently maintained that convicting him would be unlawful, arguing that “there is no valid charge” against him.
Security has been tightened around the court premises as proceedings get underway.
