Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has strongly condemned acts of violence against Christians in Nigeria, describing persecution based on religion as unacceptable.
In a statement, Netanyahu decried attacks allegedly carried out by Muslim militants and the forced displacement of Christian communities, stressing that such actions must come to an end. He emphasized that no individual or group should be targeted because of their faith.
The Israeli leader also stated that Israel remains the only country in the Middle East where Christians are able to practice their religion freely and openly.
Extending Christmas greetings to Christians around the world, Netanyahu reaffirmed Israel’s commitment to standing in solidarity with Christian communities globally and defending freedom of worship for people of all faiths.
