Landlord’s Son Allegedly kills 22-year-old tenant in Ondo

The Ode-Irele community in Irele local government area of Ondo state was in shock mood, Monday, as a 41-year-old man, Odunayo Olomolatan, allegedly hacked a 22-year-old tenant, Joy Tale, to death during a heated argument between the duo.

The suspect, who is the son of the deceased landlord, was swiftly arrested and is currently in police custody.

Sources stated that the altercation between the landlord’s son and the tenant escalated, resulting in the young woman’s untimely death, which has thrown the entire community mourning  mood as a result of what  led to the death of the young lady.

Confirming the incident, spokesperson for the Ondo state Police command, DSP Olayinka Ayanlade, stated that the police have launched an intensive investigation to uncover the precise motives behind the gruesome attack on the deceased.

The gruesome killing has however sent shockwaves throughout the community, prompting local leaders to urge residents to remain calm and avoid taking Law into their own hands.

Chairman of Irele local government, Olajide Akinfe,  has also assured the public that measures are in place to ensure justice is served and that the suspect will not evade the wrath of the Law.
