The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ola Olukoyede, has sent a stern message to the 404 fresh cadets of the Commission: Integrity is not a slogan, it is the only rule of engagement.
Speaking on Friday, September 26, 2025, at the Passing-Out Parade held at the Nigeria Police Mobile Force Training College, Ende Hills, Akwanga, Olukoyede warned the 294 newly commissioned Detective Superintendents and 110 Detective Inspectors that the weight of their new calling rests on discipline, courage, and accountability.
“Being an operative of the EFCC carries heavy responsibilities of personal discipline, integrity, courage and accountability. The EFCC has zero tolerance for corruption and compromise. You cannot offer the nation what you don’t have. Anti-corruption officers must be above board at all times,” he said.

The EFCC boss cautioned that sanctions against erring officers are severe, stressing that the Commission’s investments in the cadets’ training were meant to produce law enforcement officers who can match — and even outshine — their international counterparts.
Olukoyede reminded the cadets that the fight against corruption cannot succeed without patriotic commitment. He charged them to surpass the Commission’s past achievements in investigations and prosecutions.
“We are eager to break the siege of graft in our land and by our individual and corporate determination, we will surely sail through,” he said.
Reviewing the parade, Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, lauded the cadets’ resilience and the EFCC’s progress in its anti-graft campaign. He urged the National Assembly to create a special anti-corruption court to fast-track justice in financial crimes.
“After witnessing what you have just demonstrated today, we believe that the future of Nigeria is very bright,” he told the cadets.
Chairmen of the Senate and House Committees on Anti-Corruption, Senator Emmanuel Udende and Hon. Ginger Onwusibe, also delivered congratulatory messages, urging the cadets to embody the spirit of accountability.
Special awards were presented to outstanding cadets: Amagiya Efe Princewill, who emerged Best Overall in the Superintendent cadre, and Sanni Ayoola Blessing, adjudged Best Overall in the Inspector cadre.
As the 404 new officers take their oath of service, the message from the EFCC Chairman could not have been clearer: the war against graft must begin in their own conscience.
