The Independent National Electoral Commission will on Tuesday hold a national stakeholders’ meeting and World Press Conference in Abuja to mark 100 days to Nigeria’s 2027 general elections, Peak Newspaper reports.
The commission said the engagement would provide an update on preparations for the polls, including the voters’ register, candidate nominations, logistics and measures to safeguard the integrity of the electoral process.
The event, scheduled for October 6 at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja, will be addressed by INEC Chairman, Prof Joash Amupitan, SAN, alongside other stakeholders in the electoral process.
According to INEC, political party leaders, security agencies under the Inter-Agency Consultative Committee on Election Security, members of the diplomatic corps, development partners, civil society organisations and election observer groups are expected at the meeting.
Disability rights advocates, religious and traditional leaders, youth organisations and media executives are also expected to participate.
