A Chieftain of African Action Congress (AAC) in Lagos state, Prince Ope-yemi Benjamin Ogunlami has called on members of the public to hold Oba of Oworonshoki, Oba Babatunde Saliu responsible, if anything happens to him, Peak Newspaper reports.
Speaking via Facebook, Prince Ope-yemi Benjamin said Information reaching out to us reveals plans by the Oba of Oworonshoki, Oba Babatunde Saliu, consulting their boys to unleash attacks on me and those around me.
Peak Newspaper recalled that in February 2025, Prince Ope-yemi Benjamin posted on his official Facebook page that Oba Ikosi, Oba Alamu Oloyede Kehinde, like that of Oworonshoki, Oba Babatunde Saliu, embarked on illegal demolition of houses of the residents of Ikosi (without prior notice), which had resulted to loss of properties worth millions. In fact, sources revealed that a certain olori (another King’s wife) somewhere, was also affected. Sweet sad story!

Benjamin claimed that Oba of Oworonshoki is threatening his life and those around me.
We are peaceful and law abiding citizens of Nigeria, resident in Kosofe, and we won’t be quiet over illegalities around us. It is part of our civic responsibility to speak up at the site of illegalities.
Therefore, nothing must happen to me, my family and people working with me. If any attack happens, you – Oba Babatunde Saliu shall be held responsible -Thank you. He wrote.
