Witnesses said the attackers opened fire on the vehicle, throwing passengers into panic. At least three people were reportedly shot during the attack, while several others fled into nearby surroundings to escape.

The injured passengers were rushed to the Federal University of Health Sciences Teaching Hospital, Otukpo, where they are currently receiving medical treatment.
