Investigative journalist Fisayo Soyombo has warned Nigerians considering irregular migration as a way of escaping economic hardship to be cautious about the dangers and difficulties they may encounter in Libya, Peak Newspaper reports.
Soyombo said the harsh realities faced by migrants in Libya could be more difficult than the conditions they are trying to escape from in Nigeria.
His warning comes amid continued concerns over the dangers associated with irregular migration routes through North Africa, including exploitation, detention and other forms of abuse faced by migrants.
