The Federal Government of Nigeria has officially declared Friday, June 6, and Monday, June 9, 2025, as public holidays to mark this year’s Eid-ul-Adha celebrations.
The announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, through a statement issued by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Magdalene Ajani, on Monday.
In his message, the Minister congratulated all members of the Muslim Ummah both in Nigeria and the Diaspora, wishing them a peaceful and joyful celebration. He also encouraged all citizens to reflect on the values of sacrifice, compassion, and unity that the season represents.
As the nation observes this important religious holiday, Nigerians are urged to celebrate responsibly, promote peace, and extend kindness to those around them.
