The Federal High Court, Abuja, has ordered the freezing of a Fidelity Bank account belonging to Mars Aviation Limited over alleged money laundering tied to the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).
Peak Newspaper reports that the order, granted by Justice Musa Liman following an EFCC application, affects account number 5250350283, which investigators say received multiple suspicious payments from NNPCL for fake contracts.
Mars Aviation is reportedly owned by Abdullahi Bashir-Haske, Atiku Abubakar’s son-in-law, who was declared wanted by the EFCC in August for alleged conspiracy and money laundering.
