In a bid to ensure the preservation of the rich culture of Okeigbo community and to guarantee a peaceful transition of its Obaship, the Special Adviser (S.A) to the Ondo state Governor, Dr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, on Union Matters and Special Duties, Comrade Bola Taiwo met with the Warrant Chiefs from Okeigbo, Ile-Oluji Local Government Area of Ondo state, to discuss crucial issues concerning the Obaship selection process.
Comrade Bola Taiwo disclosed this through a brief statement he released on his official Facebook page on Saturday, Peak Newspaper Nigeria reports
He highlighted that the Okeigbo warrant chiefs demonstrated aplomb commitment for transparency, fairness, and inclusivity in the Obaship selection process of Okeigbo, while he assured them of Aiyedatiwa-led administration’s dedication to strengthening traditional institutions and sustaining peace across Ondo communities.
According to him, “The Chiefs emphasized the need for transparency, fairness, and inclusivity in preserving their cultural heritage, and expressed confidence in the capacity of the state government to guide the process peacefully.
“I acknowledged their commitment to dialogue and assured them of the government’s readiness to engage all stakeholders toward a fair and harmonious resolution. I also reaffirmed that the Aiyedatiwa-led administration remains dedicated to strengthening traditional institutions and sustaining peace across all communities in Ondo State,” Comrade Bola noted.
