A United States lawmaker has issued a strong warning to terrorist groups operating in Nigeria, cautioning them not to “test the resolve” of the United States following recent attacks targeting Christian communities in parts of the country, Peak Newspaper reports.
The message has gained attention after reports of a joint US–Nigeria military operation that reportedly neutralised a high-ranking ISIS-linked commander.
The lawmaker stressed that continued violence against civilians will not be tolerated, adding that security cooperation between both countries remains active and focused on restoring peace in affected regions.
