BREAKING: Odigbo First Lady, Rachel Adegoroye, Provides Free Medical Care, Support Items to Residents

The First Lady of Odigbo Local Government, Hon, Mrs. Adegoroye Rachel, wife of the Executive Chairman of Odigbo Local Government, Honourable Taiwo Adegoroye, has today demonstrated a strong commitment to community welfare by providing free medical care, consultation, medicines, and clothing materials to residents across the Local Government Area.

Peak Newspaper reports that the medical outreach and distribution of incentives, which took place at the Odigbo Local Government Secretariat hall attracted a large turnout of beneficiaries, including the elderly, women, youths, from the eleven wards across Odigbo Local Government.

The programme aimed to ensure that residents, especially those with limited access to healthcare, receive essential medical attention and welfare support.

Speaking during the outreach, Mrs. Adegoroye Rachel explained that the initiative was inspired by the visionary leadership and tireless efforts of her husband, Honourable Taiwo Adegoroye, whose administration has remained committed to improving the living conditions of the people of Odigbo.

“My motivation for this outreach is rooted in the passion and dedication of my husband, Honourable Taiwo Adegoroye, who works daily to galvanize growth, progress, and development in our dear local government. This is one of the many ways we can touch lives and give back to the people,” she said.

She further assured residents that the present administration would continue to prioritize empowerment, healthcare, and overall community development, stressing that her office would intensify more efforts in supporting the Chairman’s vision for an inclusive and prosperous Odigbo.

Mrs. Adegoroye also expressed gratitude to her husband for providing an enabling environment for such humanitarian gestures, commending his transparent and people-oriented leadership style.

Beneficiaries who spoke at the event showered praises on the First Lady for her kind and selfless gesture. They described the outreach as timely and impactful, noting that it would go a long way in easing their financial burden and improving their health.

One of the beneficiaries, a resident of Ward 8, in Odigbo Township – expressed joy and appreciation, saying, “This is the first time in a long while we are witnessing this kind of medical outreach. Many of us who couldn’t afford checkups or buy drugs now have access to free medical attention. We are truly grateful to Mrs. Adegoroye and the Chairman for remembering us.”

The event ended with smiles and gratitude as residents received their medical supplies and welfare packages, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to people-centered governance in Odigbo Local Government.

Some of the dignitaries who were present at the event include Chairperson Ile Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government, Chairperson Irele Local government, Ifesowapo LCDA Chairperson, Hon Mrs Ronke, Newly appointed Supervisor and Adviser, top government functionaries, all 11 Women’s leaders, among others.
