Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has taken a swipe at the Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, over what he described as unnecessary “dancing around” the cost of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project approved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking in a viral video on Friday, Makinde said Umahi should “come clean” on the actual cost instead of avoiding direct answers — a reaction sparked by the minister’s heated live TV exchange with journalist Rufai Oseni earlier in the week.
Makinde said: “There’s no need to dance around the cost. Nigerians deserve transparency.”
