The immediate Past Chairman of National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) Odigbo Chapter High Chief (Comrade) Ogunmoyle Abiodun, has been installed as the High Chief Sasere of Araromi-Obu Kingdom, Peak Newspaper reports.
The chieftaincy title were bestowed by the Ajobu of Araromi Obu, HRM Oba Aderemi Adelola, and the Ajobu-in-Council.
Speaking about the new chiefs, Oba Aderemi Adelola the Ajobu of Araromi Obu Kingdom said High Chief Abiodun has continually made him proud through his dynamism and philanthropic disposition.
The Monarch told the gathering that the chieftaincy titled given to the former NULGE Chairman is a well deserved one. “ High Chief deserves to be honored and that is why we have honored him here today,” Ajobu said.
Speaking shortly after his installation, High Chief Abiodun described the honour as a call to deeper service, pledging to leverage the traditional title to promote grassroots development, youth empowerment, and social cohesion within the Araromi-Obu Kingdom.
He expressed gratitude to the traditional council and community leaders for the confidence reposed in him, noting that the chieftaincy would complement his long-standing involvement in public affairs and community advocacy.
The installation was attended by political associates, traditional rulers, and residents, underscoring the continued intersection of politics and traditional institutions in Nigeria.
He further appreciated the leadership of Oba Aderemi, describing the monarch as a symbol of unity and cultural preservation.
