A Boko Haram kidnap survivor, Fayina Akilawus, has alleged that the insurgents attempted to force abductees to convert to Islam, warning that those who refused would be turned into slaves, Peak Newspaper reports.
Akilawus said the victims trekked for two days before reaching the militants’ camp, where they were held for nine months and compelled to perform chores.
She disclosed that she eventually escaped after her fifth attempt.
