Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has dismissed Hajiya Zainab Baban-Takko from her position as Commissioner for Women Affairs and Child Development with immediate effect, Peak Newspaper reports.

The governorโ€™s decision was announced in a statement on Monday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado, who described the move as part of a minor reshuffle within the State Executive Council.

โ€œThe Honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs and Child Development, Hajiya Zainab Baban-Takko, has been relieved of her appointment with immediate effect. The governor thanks her for her services to the state and wishes her success in future endeavours,โ€ the statement read.

This development follows recent disciplinary actions by the Bauchi State Civil Service Commission, which dismissed two senior government officials for forgery and falsification of official documents. Similarly, an education officer was sacked earlier in September over allegations of sexual harassment.
