Prominent African Democratic Congress (ADC) member Dele Momodu has said former Vice President Atiku Abubakar stands the strongest chance of becoming Nigeria’s president in 2027, Peak Newspaper reports.
Speaking during an X Space session titled “Avrilsspace: The Electoral Mathematics for 2027,” Momodu likened Atiku’s persistence to that of Abraham Lincoln, noting his long history of presidential bids since 1993.
He emphasized Atiku’s resilience, good health, and simple lifestyle, adding that despite past political clashes, Atiku has maintained respect for former leaders. With indications he may contest again, Momodu believes Atiku remains a formidable contender ahead of the 2027 election.
