The Anambra State Government has reiterated that all individuals and organizations intending to conduct medical missions or outreach programs in the state must obtain prior approval from the Ministry of Health.
This directive was announced in a circular released on Thursday, June 5, by the State Ministry of Health and signed by the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike.
Titled *“Attention: General Public, Communities, NGOs, Faith-Based Organizations, Public and Private Health Facility Owners”*, the circular emphasizes that unauthorized medical outreaches are prohibited. It states that this regulation is aimed at ensuring patient safety and aligning all health-related activities with global best practices and state health strategies.
