The Special Adviser to Ondo State Governor on Union Matters & Special Duties, Comrade (Engr) Bola Taiwo has wished Christians in the state and across Nigeria a Merry Christmas, urging them to foster unity, peace, and religious tolerance, Peak Newspaper reports.
In a statement issued on Thursday also made available to Peak Newspaper in Akure Comrade Bola called on Christians to reflect on the teachings of Jesus Christ, highlighting love, sacrifice, compassion, and peaceful coexistence.
According to him, the celebration of Christmas offers an opportunity for individuals and communities to renew their commitment to peaceful coexistence and mutual understanding, especially at a time when unity and collective responsibility are needed for societal growth.
“Christmas is a reminder of God’s love for humanity and the need for us to extend that same love to one another, irrespective of our differences. As we celebrate, we must remember the less privileged among us and show kindness in our words and actions,” Aiyedatiwa Aide stated.
The governor’s aide commended the people of Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State for their continued support for the Lucky Aiyedatiwa-led administration, noting that such cooperation has contributed to the steady progress being recorded across the state, particularly in the area of environmental sustainability and urban renewal.
He reiterated the commitment of the state government to policies and programmes aimed at promoting a cleaner, safer and healthier environment, urging residents to continue to support government efforts by maintaining hygienic practices during and after the festive period.
Comrade Bola also used the occasion to pray for peace, good health and prosperity for families in Odigbo Local Government and Ondo State at large, expressing optimism that the coming year would bring greater opportunities and development for the people.
