African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore has said he would appoint Artificial Intelligence (AI) as Nigeria’s Finance Minister and continue using drone technology for national defence if he is elected president in the 2027 general election, Peak Newspaper reports.
Sowore made the statement while sharing his plans for how he would run the country if given the opportunity to lead.
According to him, using AI to manage the nation’s finances would help improve transparency, reduce corruption and make government spending more efficient.
He also said he would retain and expand the use of drone aircraft in the country’s security operations, explaining that modern technology is important in tackling insecurity and protecting lives.
Sowore’s comments have sparked discussions on social media, with many Nigerians reacting to his proposal of using artificial intelligence in a key government position.
