Following shortfall and inability of Kebbi intending pilgrims to beat the dateline for payments of Hajj seats, the Kebbi state governor, Dr Nasir Idris has approved the sum of ten billion naira to Kebbi state pilgrims welfare agency, Peak Newspaper reports

This was revealed  on Saturday by the executive chairman pilgrims welfare agency,Alhaji Faruku Aliyu Yaro, according to him the national Hajj commission (NAHCOM)  officially close sales of Hajj seats on December,, the 6th,2025, to avert loss of remaining seats the governor borrowed ten billion naira to the agency to procure over one thousand Hajj seats for Kebbi intending pilgrims to buy from the agency “. before the closure only two thousand intending pilgrims were able to complete their payments which is a shortfall from the annual number of pilgrims Kebbi usually register”.

Yaro noted that the decrease in the number of pilgrims is not unconnected with the crash of food stuffs because almost sixty percent of Kebbi intending pilgrims are farmers who sales their farm products to buy Hajj seats the remaining percentage are civil servants and well to do individuals in the society he said.

Faruku warned pilgrims to submit themselves to through medical examinations which will be conducted here and anyone who use short cut when caught in Saudi Arabia will be deported immediately with many years ban on him for refusing to allow medical examinations for some certain diseases Saudi kingdom  have vested interest in.
