Governor of Ondo State, Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa on Thursday commissioned major road and water projects in Akure as part of activities marking his first year in office.
Addressing residents, the governor described the occasion as symbolic and expressed gratitude to God for the opportunity to serve. He noted that the projects reflect his commitment to delivering the dividends of good governance and improving the lives of residents.
Commenting on some of the commissioned roads, Aiyedatiwa said the projects would ease traffic congestion, improve connectivity and provide seamless access to vital infrastructure such as the Akure Airport. He added that the roads were constructed according to standard engineering specifications to ensure durability.
Some of the completed roads commissioned include Gbangbalogun–Odole–Odiolowo Road, Lao–Oke Padre–Odopetu Road, Ecobank–Oke Arata Road, Ajegunle Road, Oja Oshodi Road, SK Bright Street, Ayeloro Street, Igoba Township Road, Alagbaka Extension Road and Igoba Road.
