Residents and business owners along Idimu-Ejigbo Road in Lagos State are calling for urgent action over a large pile of waste that has reportedly remained on the road median for about six months, Peak Newspaper reports.
According to residents, the decomposing refuse has continued to produce offensive smells and create serious environmental concerns, despite an earlier evacuation of the waste.
They are appealing to the relevant authorities to clear the area and prevent the situation from becoming a bigger public health and environmental problem.
