The Nigerian Senate has mandated a full investigation into INEC’s ward delineation in Warri.
Peak Newspaper gathered that the probe follows complaints from the Itsekiri community over alleged exclusion from certain wards.
Senators expressed concern that the delineation may result in ethnic marginalisation and demanded that INEC justify its boundary decisions.
The investigation officially commenced in Warri, Delta State, aimed at ensuring transparency and fairness in electoral preparation.
Officials are expected to submit detailed reports and recommendations to prevent further tension and guarantee equitable representation.
The Senate said it will monitor INEC closely to ensure compliance and institutional accountability.
