Activist and politician Omoyele Sowore has expressed deep admiration for his son, Komi, who continues to pursue his football dreams with remarkable determination.
Despite nursing a hand injury, Komi remains committed to the sport he loves, showing up on the field with or without his father present. Sowore explained that his absence is not voluntary, noting that his international passport was seized by the Tinubu administration through the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, under judicial proceedings led by Justice Musa S. Liman of the Federal High Court, Abuja.
According to Sowore, the action was intended to punish him for his outspoken advocacy and unwavering stance on justice.
Still, he says Komi has learned the meaning of sacrifice early in life. Focused and unshaken, the young footballer continues to chase his ambition of one day representing Nigeria on the international stage.
Komi draws inspiration from Victor Osimhen, and Sowore believes his son carries the same spirit of discipline, drive, and belief.
“Go on, Komi. Keep playing. Keep believing,” he wrote.
