Odigbo Local Government Chairman, Honourable Taiwo Adegoroye, his Vice, Hon kamil Jimoh, Ifesowapo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Chairman, Adeolu Akinseyoju, secretary to the Local Government; Honourable Kehinde Akinriboya and other government officials have inspected the Ogunlepa Community, in Odigbo Local Government of Ondo state, over the illegal mining operation in the area.
Peak Newspaper Nigeria reports that Hon. Adegoroye and other government officials visited the illegal mining sites in Ogunlepa today.
During the official visit by Hon. Adegoroye and other government officials, residents of Ogunlepa lamented how the illegal mining in their community has been obstructing farming activities and other businesses.
Also, residents of Ogunlepa urged Hon. Adegoroye to intervene and stop illegal mining in the Ogunlepa Community.
A farmer who briefed Hon. Adegoroye and other government officials, under the condition of anonymity, for fear of retribution, said “the ongoing illegal mining in Ogunlepa has damaged our farmlands, roads and has continued to obstruct business activities. Please, help us stop this cruelty by illegal miners.”
Nevertheless, Hon. Adegoroye condemned the illegal mining activities in Ogunlepa Community and he assured residents of the community that he will put an end to the illegal mining in the area.
Furthermore, Hon. Adegoroye paid a courtesy visit to a prominent Chief in a nearby town, Imorun town, Chief Charles Bashorun, Oloja of Imorun Community.
Oloja Charles welcomed Hon. Adegoroye and other government officials who were with him— he prayed for them and appreciated them for their exceptional developmental projects.

Adegoroye to the Ogunlepa Community includes Odigbo Local Government Vice Chairman Hon kamil Jimoh, and the secretary to the Local Government; Honourable Kehinde Akinriboya, Chief of Staff to the Chairman, Bayo Akinduro; Ifesowapo LCDA Chairman, Hon. Adeolu Akinseyoju; DPO, Araromi-Obu; DPO, Kajola Community among others.
