The All Progressive Congress (APC) Women Leaders from different wards within the Odigbo Local Government area of Ondo state has today paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Odigbo Local Government Area, Honourable Taiwo Adegoroye at the Odigbo Local Government Secretariat, Peak Newspaper Nigeria reports.
The women group noted that their visit to the Chairman of Odigbo Local Government, Honourable Taiwo Adegoroye is to officially congratulate the Local Government Boss on his landmark victory as the Chairman of Odigbo Local Government Area.
Speaking during the courtesy visit, the APC Ago Alaye Ward Women leader, Mrs. Agnes Abiodun lauded Adegoroye for his commitment to the consistent growth and development in Odigbo Local Government Area.
In her remarks, Mrs. Akinboye Aina, the Ayesan ward APC women leader assured the Odigbo Local Government Boss of the support of women across Odigbo Local Government. She asserted “We are delighted to officially congratulate you as the Executive Chairman of Odigbo Local Government Area. Our prayer is that you have a successful administration.
“Also, we have come to unequivocally assure you of our unwavering support for your administration— we are fully behind you,” she said.
In his welcome address, Honourable Adegoroye appreciated the APC Odigbo Local Government Area women leaders for paying him a courtesy visit. He further expressed gratitude to the women leaders for their “thoughtfulness, love, support, goodwill and cooperation” with his administration.
He reaffirmed his commitment to the development, growth and progress of Odigbo Local Government, assuring the women that “women are integral and indispensable member of any society that must experience allround development— our women in Odigbo Local Government are intelligent, respectable, educated and resourceful— you’re all testament to this admirable fact.
“For the record, the role of women in Odigbo’s development is unquantifiable and I commend your sacrifice for the growth of our area. Today, I assure you all that my administration will not relegate women, but it will prioritize them through women empowerments, fair political consideration that favors women and availability of opportunities that allows our women to spread their wings,” Adegoroye stated.
