Senator Ned Nwoko has announced a free Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) UTME registration scheme for 1,500 students from Delta North Senatorial District, Peak Newspaper reports.
The initiative is aimed at easing the financial burden on candidates seeking admission into tertiary institutions and expanding access to higher education across the district.
According to the senator, beneficiaries will be selected from the nine local government areas that make up Delta North. Priority is expected to be given to students from low-income households and public secondary schools, though final selection guidelines are yet to be fully outlined.
Interested students are advised to monitor official announcements from the senator’s constituency office and authorised channels for details on application procedures, required documentation, and registration timelines.
The scheme forms part of Senator Nwoko’s broader education support efforts, focused on increasing enrolment, reducing barriers to entry, and supporting young people in the region to pursue tertiary education.
