The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has uncovered an alleged illegal and unregistered juice production factory in Aradagun, Badagry, Lagos, leading to the arrest of two women and other individuals at the premises, Peak Newspaper reports.

According to reports, the facility, located on Alabi Olinegbale Street, Aradagun, Olorunda LCDA, was allegedly being used to produce and package Barkas Juice without the required registration.

During the operation, NSCDC officials reportedly discovered various items and equipment allegedly connected to the production of the juice, including containers, bottles and other materials.

The development has raised fresh concerns about the safety of beverages produced and distributed without proper regulatory approval, as unsuspecting consumers may have no way of knowing how or where such products were manufactured.

The suspects are expected to face further investigation as authorities determine the circumstances surrounding the alleged illegal operation.
