Former Media Assistant to Senator Nicholas Tofowomo, an Educator and Public, political analyst, Comrade Olaniyi Arogbo has blasted Senator Jimoh Ibrahim representing Ondo South Senatorial District in the National Assembly for not having the required leadership capacity, Peak Newspaper Nigeria reports.
The statement read OUR DIVIDENDS AS CONSTITUENTS ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN APPEARANCES ON NATIONAL TV
It has been two years since Senator Jimoh Ibrahim Folorunsho assumed office as the Senator representing Ondo South Senatorial District. Unfortunately, his tenure so far has yielded little to no tangible achievements for the people he represents aside from frequent appearances on national television and front pages of newspapers.
This situation is not only disturbing but also deeply disappointing. Ondo South has experienced a steady decline under Senator Ibrahim’s leadership, despite the enormous capacity he claims to have. As a renowned businessman, and with his supposed strong connections to both the President and the Senate President, one would have expected a transformation of our district. Instead, we have witnessed stagnation particularly in the areas of constituency projects and empowerment programs.
During the tenure of his predecessor, Senator Nicholas Tofowomo, Ondo South recorded measurable progress. Now, in the same Senate where leaders like Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan and others are excelling in grassroots development and empowerment, our own representative continues to offer excuses about limited constituency allowances while engaging in needless debates on national television.
Senator Jimoh Ibrahim must urgently reevaluate his priorities. The people of Ondo South need real development, not media appearances or intellectual showdowns on TV programs with journalists like Seun Okinbaloye. None of these benefit us directly.
It is time to focus on impactful representation, not rhetoric. We deserve better.
