Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has spoken strongly on the lingering marginalization of the Igbo people, saying Nigeria will continue to struggle with development as long as the Igbos are unfairly treated, Peak Newspaper reports.
According to Kalu, “Since after the civil war, Igbos have not been fairly treated all over Nigeria. As long as you want to clamp down on the Igbos, the country will find it difficult to develop — we have a lot to offer.”
He urged Nigerians to “play by the rules with the Igbo in the way it is supposed to be played,” stressing that inclusion and fairness are the only way forward for national unity.
