Liverpool players returned to training on Tuesday following the death of forward Diogo Jota and his brother in a car crash.

The club had delayed pre-season activities as manager Arne Slot and players, including Virgil van Dijk, attended Jota’s funeral.

Mohamed Salah expressed deep sorrow, saying returning without Jota is “extremely difficult.” A memorial site has been set up at Anfield.

The club’s friendly against Preston remains uncertain, with ticket sales paused.
