TikTok content creator Elizabeth Amadou, popularly known as Jarvis, has confirmed that she has ended her relationship with fellow influencer and livestreamer, Hamzat Habeeb, also known as Peller.
She urged the public to stop mocking him following his recent car crash during a livestream in Lagos.
Jarvis made the disclosure in a live video shared online on Tuesday. The video followed widespread reactions to Peller’s hospitalisation after the crash on the Lekki-Epe Expressway.
Addressing online commentary, Jarvis said public ridicule was worsening the situation. “People will mock him. Stop mocking him. Stop shading him,” she said.
She stressed that the incident should not be used to judge Peller’s character. “Peller is a sweet guy,” she said, adding that she never portrayed him as a bad person.
Jarvis acknowledged that Peller struggles with emotional control. “Yes, he cannot control his emotions. That’s the problem,” she said, while calling for collective support to help him recover.
Confirming the breakup, Jarvis said the decision was necessary and not rooted in hatred. “The relationship thing is over for now,” she said. “The solution is for us to put our heads together to work on him, to be better.”
She appealed to social media users to stop spreading harmful narratives. “Don’t use it against him. Encourage him,” she said, urging empathy and restraint.
Jarvis said her focus was on wellbeing and gratitude that no life was lost. “All you people should be saying is thank God for life,” she said, adding that both she and Peller need time to heal.
Recall that Peller crashed his car on Sunday during a live Instagram broadcast titled “RIP Peller.” He was seen driving while visibly distressed before the vehicle veered off the road and hit a stone barrier. Bystanders later assisted him before he was taken to a hospital.
