The Former Ondo state Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy affairs, Honourable Amidu Takuro has expressed appreciation to the Governor of Ondo state, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, for nominating him for a reappointment as a Commissioner, Peak Newspaper Nigeria reports.
After Aiyedatiwa’s cabinet reshuffling, some cabinet members lost their seats, some were switched to a new position while some, including Honourable Amidu Takuro has been enlisted in the Commissioner-Designate list which Aiyedatiwa forwarded to the State’s House of Assembly, for approval.
In a statement he issued today, Takuro described the nomination as a “great honour and a call to higher service, assuring the Governor of his unwavering loyalty and renewed commitment to the shared vision of progress and development in the state.”
“I am deeply humbled by this opportunity to serve and contribute more meaningfully to the growth of our dear state. I sincerely appreciate His Excellency, Governor Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa, for the confidence reposed in me. I consider this a sacred trust, and I promise to justify it with diligence, integrity, and dedication,” he added.
Furthermore, Hon. Takuro extended appreciation to political leaders, party members, supporters, friends, and well-wishers who have sent congratulatory messages and shown support to him since the announcement of his nomination. He noted that their goodwill and encouragement have been a source of strength and motivation.
“As I look forward to this new chapter of public service, I call on all stakeholders to continue to pray and support us as we collectively work for a better and more prosperous Ondo State,” Takuro said.
Hon. Amidu Takuro reaffirmed his readiness to serve with excellence, promising to uphold the values of good governance championed by Governor Ayedatiwa.
