The Chairman of Oshimili North Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Innocent Esewezie, has led a major security operation into forests within the council area as part of efforts to tackle kidnapping and other criminal activities, Peak Newspaper reports.
The operation, carried out alongside security operatives, local vigilantes, community youths, and residents, is aimed at identifying and dismantling criminal hideouts believed to be used by kidnappers and other armed groups.

Hon. Esewezie reaffirmed the local government’s commitment to working closely with security agencies and community stakeholders to ensure criminal elements have no safe haven within Oshimili North.
Residents have welcomed the initiative, expressing hope that the operation will help improve security and reduce criminal activities in the area.
