The internal feud in the Edo State chapter of the African Democratic Congress turned violent as gunmen attacked former governor and party chieftain John Odigie-Oyegun’s residence, leaving his gate riddled with bullets, Peak Newspaper reports.
Disgruntled faction members, including Rowland Owie, claimed they were excluded from a scheduled meeting at Oyegun’s home and called on the national leadership to intervene.
A gun duel reportedly broke out, marking a major escalation in the party’s factional disputes.
