A Chieftain of the African Democratic Congress,(ADC) and former federal lawmaker, Senator Dino Melaye, on Friday appeared at the Federal High Court, Abuja, with his legal garment and wig for the first time since he was called to the bar, Peak Newspaper Nigeria reports.
According to a post on his official Facebook page, Dino, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, appeared before Justice Emeka Nwite during a court proceeding.
He wrote, “Senator Dino Melaye @ the Federal High Court Abuja today. Appeared before Justice Emeka Nwite of Court 8.”
Peak Newspaper Nigeria reported that Dino was among over 5,000 lawyers recently called to the bar in Abuja.
Dino, who graduated from Baze University, Abuja, represented the Kogi West Senatorial District at the red chamber during the 8th Assembly.
Often seen as a controversial politician, Dino is popular among Nigerian youths for always speaking ‘truth’ to those in authority.
