Cross River State Governor Bassey Otu has presented a ₦780.59 billion “Budget of Inclusive Growth” for 2026, marking a 17% rise from 2025. The budget allocates ₦519.6 billion for capital projects and ₦260.96 billion for recurrent spending, Peak Newspaper reports.
Otu said the budget prioritizes human development, healthcare, education, and social protection, shifting focus from GDP to the Human Development Index.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to transparency and infrastructure-driven growth.
