The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has faulted the conduct of the 2025 Anambra governorship election, claiming widespread vote-buying and institutional inaction threaten Nigeria’s democracy ahead of 2027, Peak Newspaper reports.
ADC spokesman Bolaji Abdullahi called the election a “cash-drenched spectacle” and criticized security and electoral officials for failing to uphold integrity at polling units.
Meanwhile, APGA’s Chukwuma Soludo was declared winner with 422,664 votes, sweeping all 21 LGAs, defeating APC’s Nicholas Ukachukwu (99,445) and YPP’s Paul Chukwuma (37,753).
The party warned that if such practices continue, the credibility of future elections could be at serious risk.
