Factions within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa’s Ganye, Toungo, Jada, and Mayo-Belwa LGAs are threatening the party’s unity ahead of the August bye-election.

Two rival groups, led by Senator Abubakar MoAllahyidi and Walin Ganye, Alhaji Sadiq Wali, held parallel meetings, deepening divisions.

The disunity, reminiscent of past election losses in 2019 and 2023, raises concerns over APC’s ability to retain the vacant Ganye constituency seat. Party stakeholders are calling for urgent reconciliation.
