Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar hosted a delegation of youth leaders from across the North.
The visiting groups included the Coalition of 19 Northern States Students, led by Comrade Sani Danmasani, and the National Association of Kano State Students, led by its President, Ishaku Ali Kanwa.
The meeting, held in Abuja on Wednesday, featured a robust exchange on the state of the nation, with a strong focus on education and leadership.
Atiku, who is widely regarded as a potential contender in the 2027 presidential race, expressed satisfaction with the students’ dedication to the country’s progress.
“I was elated at their commitment to enthroning a better country and encouraged them not to give up,” he said.
The youth leaders commended Atiku for his long-standing investment in Nigeria’s education sector and his continued advocacy for inclusive development and youth participation in governance.
In response, the former Vice President assured them of his unwavering resolve to work with well-meaning Nigerians to usher in leadership that would secure a better future for all citizens.
“We must continue to build a nation that our youth can be proud of — one founded on education, opportunity, and equity,” Atiku stated.
